What does bee bread taste like? Three flavors and tips for the tangy taste

Miltä perga maistuu? Kolme makua ja vinkit kirpeään makuun

The first thing many people ask is what bee bread tastes like. In short: tangy and slightly sour, a bit like sourdough, yogurt or tart berries. The taste comes from the bee bread fermenting in the comb.

Perga Glow's three flavors

  • Sea buckthorn: fresh and tangy. For you if you like sea buckthorn juice.
  • Blackcurrant: berry-rich and full.
  • Apple-cinnamon: the mildest of the three. A good one to start with.

You can let the pastille melt in your mouth or chew it.

If the tangy taste is new to you

  • Start with apple-cinnamon.
  • Take half a pastille at first.
  • Give it a few days. Many people find the tanginess starts to taste good once they are used to it.

How many pastilles a day?

Adults 1–3 pastilles a day, ideally in the first half of the day. Read more about bee bread dosage.

Good to know: bee bread is not suitable if you are allergic to bee products or pollen. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication, check with your doctor first.
